My Story

Me After D.
Hi! I am Ezel! I am a mom. It took me a while to promote from being a preemie mom to being just a mom. But I got there.

This picture here is one of the last few taken before my premature delivery with my not-very-big pregnancy belly.

I went through an unexpected delivery when I was about 28 weeks pregnant. The day I gave premature birth and the following days in the NICU were the most challenging days in my life with too many rides on the emotional roller coaster. I wanted to see the light at the end of the tunnel every single second, yet it was very hard. There were moments I felt remarkably positive, and then there were days I wanted to wake up from this terrible nightmare.

During the process, my husband and I searched for information about premature / preemie babies. After a while, we figured there was not much shared about prematurity in detail.

In this blog you will find specifics about NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit); preemie care, life post NICU, follow-ups, watch-outs, weight gain & loss, and many more.
You will also find the most current information on parenting such as being a primary/secondary caregiver, breastfeeding/formula to weaning, nursery prep to baby proofing, and many more.

I will be sharing my journey very transparently to make sure preemie parents out there know it all and also new parents benefit from all the research I did and expert consultancy I got.

I hope this page will help you become more confident about parenting.

p.s. Light at the end of the tunnel exists. Reporting from there :)
