Application that offers thousands of activities for babies & kids aged 0-3.
D. is almost 6 months old now, and 3 months of corrected age. She is at her third leap according to wonders week application. However, I have a feeling she is at the fourth one. Regardless of the number of the leap, I know she is definitely going through a something. Her eating and feeding schedule changed and her awake time has definitely increased. She is fussy during the day and gets super tired in the evening. Finding activities that suit her current needs has been on my agenda lately to make good use of the awake time during the day.
As she is in the category of very premature babies (babies born less than 32 week gestation), she is required to see a physiotherapist during her first year. Physiotherapist’s evaluation definitely does wonders and exercises she gives take up a lot of time. However, with her awake time increasing, I felt the need of a more structured activity list that will help both me and D.
Baby Sparks is an application I came across Instagram. I downloaded the app to see what it is like and I loved it. You enter the date of birth of your baby if she was born on time and due date for premature babies. Depending on your baby’s age, it gives you a list of activities you can do with your baby. Activity list changes every day, focus of the activities remaining the same. For example, if your baby is at the age of bringing her neck up, there are different tummy time activities. If your baby is old enough to start making the connection between her hands and making sound with them, you will get activities encouraging that.
They are recommended for 20 minutes daily, however, you can do as long as you want.
Holding and kissing your baby is not included on the list though. So make sure you do LOTTTSS of it. Best activity ever, always:)
