Along with a Sniglar Crib, we bought the Sniglar Changing table. Changing table is also one of those short-lived baby items. As baby becomes more mobile meaning starts to roll over, changing table becomes extremely dangerous. We stopped using the changing table when D. was around 6 months.

Placed the changing table in the guest room just to get it out of the way. When I wanted to start my blog, I figured I should have a study desk for me to be able to focus on my work. However, I did not want to buy a new one. (Big believer in sustainability)

I asked my -loving to utilize old items to build new ones husband- if he wants to build a study desk for me using the changing table. He said YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crafting the changing table:

  1. Removed the bottom shelf of the changing table. You need to do this step if you do not want your legs to hit it when you sit down to work:) This is the easiest part as all you need is a screw driver to take out the screws.

  2. Cut the legs of the changing table to get it to a proper study desk height, 73 cm. You can decide the height for yourself.

Finally, we purchased a piece of plexiglass at a size of the bed base. Put it on top to the bed base frame. There I had my lovely little colorful study desk:)

P.S. If you decide to do something similar using a plexiglass, make sure they file the sides of the glass to avoid any accident. Also, you can ask them to make the corners circular if you wish.
