Sitting is an important milestone for the babies within the first year of their lives. However, encouraging your baby to sit when she is not ready yet might do more harm then good to your baby.
We were very hesitant to get D. to sitting position as her age situation was complicated. When she was 6 months old, her corrected age was 3 months. Encouraging vs discouraging to sit was tricky. When a 3-month-old baby might not be ready to sit independently, a 6-month-old baby could comfortably sit . As we did get regular physio check during our first year, we were lucky to get an expert opinion on how we should proceed with each milestone.
When she was about 7-8 months of real age, our physiotherapist suggested that she is ready to sit so she gave us some exercises. Around the same time, our pediatrician also said that she was ready for solids, and we could at least start introducing basic food. As we needed a baby chair to be able to start solids, we consulted with our physiotherapist, and she recommended a booster chair without mentioning any brand name. She suggested that booster chair is a safer option to introduce the activity of sitting.
LOVED ABOUT THE BOOSTER CHAIR
Sitting position: The way she sat inside the chair provided her a very solid sitting position. I could actually see that. Its ergonomic design let her keep the posture very nicely.
Activity tray: The one we bought had an activity tray, which made it much easier for me to do my daily tasks as she played with it sitting in her booster chair. Initially, she stayed maybe for 2-3 minutes. As she got older, she spent more time in the chair.

Removable tray: After she ate her food, it was very easy to take it off and wash.
Removable insert: When your baby grows and becomes bigger in size, you can remove the insert (the cushiony part) so that your baby keeps using the chair comfortably. When I bought the product, this was very appealing to me. However, we did not get there yet so I am not sure if this is something we can benefit from.

Easy to clean: Both the tray and the seating cushion is very easy to wipe. Dirt comes off rather easy with a damp cloth or water wipes.
LOVED NOT SO MUCH ABOUT THE BOOSTER CHAIR:
Removable tray: At some point it got SUPER easy to remove the tray, which got tricky as she got older. When she was around 13 months old, she would take it off herself. There were times she removed it and tried to get off the chair herself, which scared the hell out of me.
No attachments/no belts: The one we got was an independent chair with no attachments to a regular adult chair. We mostly used it on the dining table. When we ate our dinner, we would place it on the table so she would eat with us. As she got older, we could feel that she wanted to be at the same level with us.
It also did not have safety belts, and she was able to remove the tray = DANGER!!!!
Having used it only for 5 months, we had to upgrade to another feeding chair. feel, if she was not born prematurely and if milestone timings were more predictable for us, I would have gone for a regular chair from the beginning which could have done the job perfectly and also saved money.
This one goes to the list of NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT SO MUCH NEEDED BABY PRODUCTS!
